The story of Kentucky Deer Run

About Us

We are Bill & Sharon, we started coming to this area with our 4 kids in 1987. Our original attraction to the area was the warm water of Kentucky Lake. We soon fell in love with the area and returned every year for vacation, sometimes twice a summer because the kids loved it so much. In 2013 we bought the property that would later become Kentucky Deer Run. The home was a yearly rental home until 2016 when we did a full remodel and turned it into a VRBO and named it Kentucky Deer Run. It's not uncommon to see many deer in the backyard! We had so much fun decorating the home and picking out pieces that would make the cabin feel cozy and delight our guests. We continue to make tweaks and improvements every year to keep it looking and feeling its best for our 1st-time and repeat guests!
